8X3A3798As part of the recent animation workshops with Gilmour Infant School, artist Sheryl Jenkins worked with the youngest of our budding animators, the reception class, to bring Garston and Speke bananas to the masses!

The docks in Garston and Speke were the first to ever receive Bananas in Britain and our Garston trail on the APP will lead you down to the docks passed King Street to see where these tropical fruits first came over to our Island!

Again the pupils were able to use the songs and poems they had created earlier to life more and more each day they worked with the animators. Our ‘Banana Dance’ animation is one of our favourites here at FACT! You’ll find it on the APP and one our project page after 5th November.
